No art update:The exhibition scheduled for tonight has been postponed. Rest assured, we’ll be hard at work prepping a bigger (more art!), better (more booze!), and more bodacious (more delicious cheese!) exhibition for later in July. Sorry for the inconvenience, but you just can’t hurry art. Or good parties.
Company|Dallas is proud to announce that we will be hosting an exhibition of the photographic work of Mrs. Jennifer Bensley. To celebrate, we will be holding an opening on June 30th, 2010 from 6pm to 9pm.

Coming up on the 15th we will be hosting the second day of the Dallas iPhone Boot Camp from 10am to 6pm. It’s an intensive 3-day event to go from nothing to completely developing your own iPhone app. Pretty cool huh? More info after the jump.

I had the chance to appear on the Innovation @ Work radio show today along with Steven Thrasher to talk about Company|Dallas and the upcoming Startup Weekend. It was very fun, and I thank Winston for having me on. To anybody reading this because of that broadcast, welcome! To those who haven’t it should be posted to the Innovation @ Work website pretty soon.

A couple of weeks ago (Almost to the day) I made a vague post about something big coming to Company|Dallas. Well, after having talked earlier today with the awesome Marc Nager and finalizing things, I can officially state that Company|Dallas will be the host for the next Startup Weekend Dallas. We will be doing this along the guys of swingly, who are also themselves awesome.
As an attendee of the last Startup Weekend Dallas, I can most certainly say that this is an awesome opportunity for us here at Company|Dallas. Startup Weekend is a great organization which promotes action upon creative ideas, and pushes it’s attendees to stop talking and start acting. It’s an intense three day event that makes the accelerator concept seem like it takes a long time. It’s very cool, very fun, and I’m extremely excited that we’re going to be a part of it.

As I’m sure I’ve mentioned, I have regularly follow the Coworking Google group. It’s a great resource for anyone who runs a coworking space, is thinking of running a coworking space, coworks, wants to, or just likes the idea. Recently, the group was presented with this offer: Buy the top level domain coworking.com.

I don’t know about you, but it has been a productive and successful week over here. Even with that though, everybody looks forward to their day(s) of rest, which is definitely something everybody needs. As such, we here at Company|Dallas just want to say that we hope your weekend is restful, relaxing, adventurous, creative, or whatever it is you prefer from your weekends. We hope that it leaves you re-energized and looking forward to the next week and what’s to come. Cheers.

I’ve been asked to go speak at a North Texas Angel Network breakfast meeting this next week about Company|Dallas and what it is we offer. I drew up a rough version which I thought was a good start, then Andy Hickl asked me to let him have a go at it. All I can say is that the work he did took the original kernel from the presentation I made, and turned it into something clear, to the point, and down right pretty. Far prettier than I could have made it. Since it was so pretty, and I really like the way he went with it, I’m putting it up for all to see. Hope you like it!
